  7. collection of digital video picture materials suitable for multimedia
  8. and nonlinear video editing.

  14. This product consists of three CD-ROMs: Disc 1 (browser, multimedia
  15. materials) and Discs 2, 3 and 4(digital video [DV] editing materials).

  27. Because the DV editing materials stored on Discs 2, 3 and 4 have a viewing
  28. angle of 720 x 480(486) pixels (9:6 aspect ratio), they will appear longer
  29. horizontally on a computer screen than in multimedia materials.

  60. How to use the VIDEO-SOZAIJITEN browser
  61.  
  62. [Starting up]
  63.  
  64. Insert the VIDEO-SOZAIJITEN CD (Disc 1)  into the CD-ROM drive.
  65. Double click the "Vbrowser.exe" icon.
  66. * Set your display to 32000 colors or more before starting up.
  67. * If you change the display setting while using the browser, it may
  68.   cause disturbance on the screen.
  69. * QuickTime 3.0 for Windows is required.

  72. - Scroll
  73. Press the scroll button to scroll one or three lines at a time.
  74. Press the scroll bar to jump to a target line.
  75.  
  76. - Material selection
  77. Click on the material you want to use, and it will be surrounded by a
  78. yellow frame.  This is called "material selected."
  79. * The image shown on the material selection screen is a thumbnail
  80.   image displaying major frames for each material.

  82. - PLAY
  83. To play the movie, click PLAY when you are in the "material selected"
  84. mode or double-click the material.
  85. Select other materials to stop the playing.

  87. - STOP
  88. Click STOP to halt the playing of movies.

  90. - TOP
  91. Click TOP to move to the first movie frame.

  93. - REW
  94. Click REW to rewind the movie by one frame.  Set the LOOP mode to ON
  95. to jump from the first to the last frame.

  98. Click FWD to advance the movie by one frame.  Set the LOOP mode to ON
  99. to jump from the last to the first frame.

  102. Click END to move to the last movie frame.

  104. - LOOP
  105. Click LOOP to set or reset the LOOP mode.
  106. Click PLAY when the LOOP mode is ON to replay the selected movie.
  107. Click LOOP again to reset the LOOP mode.

  110. The lapsed time for the material being played is displayed, in the
  111. order of hour, minute, second and frame number.

  113. - duration
  114. The playing time of the selected material is displayed.
  115.  
  116. - ZOOM
  117. Click ZOOM to magnify the selected material to 320 x 240 pixels.
  118. Select some material and click the ZOOM key, and the screen will
  119. change to the zoom display mode and the first frame will be shown.
  120. Press the PLAY key to play the movie.  Click RETURN to go back to the
  121. material selection screen.
  122. * Because the data is stored in a high-resolution format, frame
  123.   dropouts will occur when the material is replayed with a browser.
  124. * Materials for DV editing (720 x 480 pixels, 720 x 486 pixels) are
  125.   stored on either Disc 2, 3 or 4.

  127. - FIND
  128. Select some material and click FIND, and multimedia materials (320 x
  129. 240 pixels) will be found on the CD-ROM and displayed in the window.

  131. * Materials for DV editing (720 x 480 pixels, 720 x 486 pixels) are
  132.   stored on either Disc 2, 3 or 4.

  134. - SAVE
  135. Select some material and click SAVE, and multimedia materials (320 x
  136. 240 pixels) will be found on the CD-ROM and saved in a designated
  137. place as a file.

  139. - QUIT
  140. Click QUIT to exit the VIDEO-SOZAIJITEN browser.
